The Four Lakes Trail-last chance to ride this trail until fall!

April 29th, 2009 · No Comments · Dirt Divas

Thanks everyone for your patience!

I’m a bit late with this blog and I apologize. I’ve been pretty swamped at work and school and this is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and blog.

I won’t be able to make it to this ride, so Cheryle and Kaz have been very generous with their time and volunteered to lead. Please thank them for me!

Ride Date: April 30, 2009

Time: 6:00 pm

Place: Stump Lake Parking lot in Alice Lake Park

Ride Length: 2 hrs

Difficulty:  Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

Route: There are two different routes to choose from:

If you want to take it easy, you can ride with Cheryle up the gravel road to Edith lake and save your energy for the fun ride back down the Four Lakes trail to Alice Lake.

If you want more of a challenge, you can ride the full Four Lakes loop with Kaz. The group will start at Stump Lake, ride up to Fawn Lake, past Edith Lake, and back down to Alice Lake.

The Four Lakes Trail

This trail is open to mountain biking from September 15 to April 30. It is a great single track trail with a few roots and rocks, but nothing too crazy. Technically it is a green trail, but I consider it more of an intermediate ride due to a few technical switchbacks, and the amount of uphill riding between Stump Lake and Fawn Lake. Make sure to control your speed on the section from Edith to Alice Lake!

Riding Tip:

When going around corners, make sure to look where you want to go! If you lead with your head, your body will follow.

Have a great ride!

Jen
