Ride Date: September 17
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Stump Lake parking area in Alice Lake Park
Ride Length: 1.5 hrs
Difficulty: Intermediate
Route: We will ride up the Four Lakes trail from Stump Lake to Fawn Lake then across to Edith lake, and down to Alice Lake. Here you can extend the ride down Jack’s Trail, or ride back to the parking lot.
The Four Lakes Trail
This trail is open to mountain biking as of September 15. It is a great single track trail with a few roots and rocks, but nothing too crazy. Technically it is a green trail, but I consider it more of an intermediate ride due to a few technical switchbacks, and the amount of uphill riding. Make sure to control your speed on the section from Edith to Alice Lake!
Jack’s Trail
This is an easy single-track trail. More technical than the Four lakes Trail, but wider than most of the single-track in Squamish, so allows for lots of room to work on steering. It’s moderate downhill slope makes it a great place to practice braking and balancing on the bike. Riders will encounter small roots, rocks, and a few logs to ride over.
See you tonight!
